Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and Ms. Alka Arora, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME addressed the Korean and Indian SMEs on the opportunities of cooperation in MSME sector between the two countries at the “India Korea Technology Exchange Conference” organized by NSIC along with SBC, South Korea at New Delhi on December 5, 2017. During the event, NSIC organized one to one meetings for the nine Korean enterprises with around 70 Indian SMEs who were willing to have business or technical alliances in their respective fields. Useful linkages have been initiated during the event which are expected to result into technical collaborations in the field of auto components, solar and LED products in near future. Mr. Kyunghan Kim, Minister (Counsellor) from Embassy of South Korea also addressed on Opportunities in South Korea”. On this day in 1949, Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India which later came into effect on 26th January, 1950. NSIC Incubation Centres & Livelihood Business Incubation Centres across the country celebrated National Entrepreneurship Day on 09.11.2017 by organizing various events including seminar & workshop on leadership, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship by expert speakers. Deliberations on various schemes of Government of India to promote entrepreneurship were also made. The theme of the event was ‘Catalysing a cultural shift in youth entrepreneurship’. The events organized at the Centres were attended by a large number of youths aspiring to take up entrepreneurship as carrier. The events were attended and addressed by the representatives of organizations associated in entrepreneurship development at regional level viz. NSIC Technical Services Centre, New Delhi & Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) signed an MoU to synergize the resources and give impetus to generation of new entrepreneurs by imparting training during internship to the students of Amity on new technologies using the infrastructure in Advance Training Centre in NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla. Mr. Satvinder Singh, Chief General Manager, NSIC & Dr. Babu Lal Arya, Registrar, Amity Univ. signed and exchanged MOU on 14.11.2017 in the presence of Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity Univ., Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Director, Amity Business School and other officials & faculties from NSIC & AUUP. NSIC – B.O., Visakhapatnam, on the occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day i.e. on 09.11.2017 has organized a Special Vendor Development Program for SC/ST entrepreneurs in association with ONGC & HPCL at Visakhapatnam. Keeping with the theme for this year “Catalyzing a cultural shift in youth entrepreneurship” majority of the participants are first generation startup entrepreneurs. Also, on this occasion Indian Overseas Bank participated in the program and explained their credit schemes for MSMEs. Sri K.Srinivas, Zonal Head (South-2), NSIC Ltd., addressed the gathering and explained the various schemes of NSIC for SC/ST entrepreneurs. Sri A.V.Sreenivasan, Chief Manager, ONGC, Sri K.Venkateswarlu, Chief Manager, HPCL gave presentations on their Vendor Registration process, services and materials requirement. A vendor development programme on 02.11.2017 was organized by Engineers India Ltd, Gurgaon for the participation of SC/ST units in Public procurement policy. The programme was organized as a part of vigilance awareness week and CMD of EIL Shri. Ajay N. Deshpande briefed about the various opportunities extended by EIL to SC/ST units . Functional directors of EIL informed the various initiatives of EIL for SC/ST units to become the vendors. Mr.R.K.Sabharwal, Director (Commercial) discussed the initiative and products developed by SC/ST units for the EIL. Further Mr.H.S.Sohal (CVO) read the integrity pledge. Shri P.Udaykumar, Director (P&M) NSIC was the Special Guest of the programme and delivered the lecture on benefits available for SC/ST units under SC/ST hub and also gave emphasis to avail the benefits under various NSIC schemes. The programme was also attended by Shri Harish Chandra ZGM NCR and Shri Dhirender Kumar, Branch Manager NSIC Gurgaon. A presentation on NSIC schemes and special schemes under SC/ST hub was delivered by Shri Dhirender Kumar, Branch Manager. Shri N K Chandan from DICCI highlighted regarding the development of new products with the help of EIL and the process of becoming the vendor in EIL.
