NSIC Technical Services Centre Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh

NSIC Technical Services Centre, Aligarh was established in the year 1986 primarily for up-liftment of locks, hardware & allied industries and rural artisans. NTSC Aligarh is modernised and technically upgraded under ATI Scheme in 2020-21 by installing State of Art machines and equipments such as Conventional, CNC Machines (Wire cut, VMC, CNC Lathe, Engraving, Laser cutting), Robotics and Dimpling etc. The Centre has trained more than 40,000 youths in different industrial trades so far.

The Centre also facilitates industries by providing Common Facility Services for Material Testing & Specialized Job work on Machines which are broadly divided into five sections:

1. Tool Room: Development of components, press tools, dies and moulds.
2. Heat Treatment: Salt bath furnaces, Hardening and tempering furnaces.
3. Welding and Fabrication: Arc, TIG, MIG Welding, Hydraulic Shearing Machine, Hydraulic Press Brake and Hydraulic Power Presses.
4. Material Testing Lab: Chemical, Mechanical and Material Testing for ferrous and non-ferrous material — Optical Emission Spectrometer, Computerized Universal Testing Machine, Tensile testing machine, Portable Leeb Hardness Testing Machine, Digital Torsion Testing Machine, Impact testing machine, Portable non-Destructive Coating thickness tester, Table top pH Meter etc.
5. Innovative Development and Reverse Engineering: 3D Scanner and Printer, Profile Projector, CAD-CAM Software, Robotics, VMC, CNC Lathe, CNC Engraving Machine, CNC Laser cutting machine, Measuring Instruments etc.

Aim and Objectives

• To provide technical & vocational training to youths leading to opportunities for their employment/self-employment.
• To improve quality and productivity by providing tools and on-job practical training to enhance skills of industry workforce.
• To provide common facility services to the industries for enhancing their competitiveness and quality.
• To impart Hi-tech training through Robotics, Computer Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, CNC Simulation Lab, Electrical Lab, Fashion Design Lab.
• To provide skilled manpower to units.
• Up-gradation of technology to units.
