NSIC organized a nationwide campaign beginning from 25th Sept.2014 at all the NSIC offices across the country. Sh. P Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) administered a "Swachhta Shapath" (Pledge) to the employees on 2nd October 2014 at the Head Office. Speaking on the occasion, Shri P.Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC stated that each one of us knows about the importance of cleanliness and Hygienic work environment which can improve the productivity considerably.He further requested that such full effort must be put by employees & their family members to involve participation of all sections of the society to bring about mass awareness and lasting behavioral change to achieve this goal and make this campaign a great success. The similar types of programme were organized and pledge was administered in all field offices of NSIC.
Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Micro ,Small and Medium Enterprises received a dividend cheque of Rs.15.19 crores for the year 2013-14 from Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC in the presence of Shri Madhav Lal, Secretary, Ministry of MSME and Shri S.K.Tripathi,Joint Secretary, MSME and other officials of Ministry of MSME. Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC informed that this is the highest dividend ever paid by NSIC.The Corporation has done an overall business of Rs. 17,444 crore in 2013-14, posting a 25% growth from its previous year, its Gross Income has gone upto Rs.418.04 crore registering a growth of 22% and Profit before Tax for the year was Rs.114.71 crore posting an increase of 24% from the previous year.
Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC delivered the Special Address in the FICCI-CMSME Summit on “MSME Prosperity: Reinvigorate the MSME Ecosystem” on 19.8.2014 in New Delhi. DPM highlighted opportunities arising out of the Government`s initiatives like Public Procurement Policy, Defence Sector (Offset & Indigenization) and FDI in Railways and other emerging sectors. He urged the MSMEs to scale up the capacity and upgrade the technology to meet the challenges.
At the First PSU Summit held at IIM Rohtak, Shri P.Udayakumar,Director(P&M),NSIC was the Panel Speaker on the Topic “Leveraging Human Capital for Global Leadership: The Practices at Indian Public Sector Enterprises”. The program was attended by eminent PSU Heads in the country.
The NSIC-IMS 2014 Premier Manufacturing Trade Exhibition (concurrent with EMMA EXPO INDIA 2014) jointly organized by the National Small Industries Corporation, IMS Foundation and Laghu Udyog Bharti ,was inaugurated by Shri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India in the presence of Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD (NSIC), Shri HVS Krishna, National President, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Mr. Walter Yeh EVP Taipei WTC & Ambassador.Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC in his inaugural address highlighted the innovative schemes of NSIC for the growth and development of MSMEs.Over 350 exhibitors participated in this event.
NSIC set up a MSME pavilion at the 47th MOS International Trade Fair, Celje,Slovenia (10th – 15th September 2014). 18 MSMEs participated under the NSIC Banner .The participation included a range of manufacturers displaying variety of products like smartphone technology, smart home, green technology, solder wires, bars and fluxes, sheet metal parts, bangle making machines, adhesive tapes and solutions, precision components and products, document ranging and management solutions, promotional goods, textiles and accessories, handmade jewellery and related items etc.The fair was inaugurated by Hon’ble President Mr. BorutPahor of Republic of Slovenia who interacted with all the participants and was impressed by the display of Indian Small Enterprisesin this exhibition.The Indian MSMEs also participated in an interactive and match making meet organized by the Indian Embassy and local Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Slovenia.The NSIC participation was managed by Shri Gaurang Dixit,GM(SG),NSIC and Shri H.Saini,DGM(EMC),NSIC
The Hindi month celebrations were inaugurated by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC on the occasion of Hindi Diwaswhere the officials of NSIC Branch and Zonal offices were present. On the occasion of Hindi Diwas ,Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD NSIC planted a sapling in the premises of NSIC Office .To encourage the use of Hindi language ,Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC urged the employees to use official language extensively as also use the same in their day to day official work .The Hindi Month will end on 7th October, 2014. During this period various competitions will be organised for the NSIC employees like essay writings, slogan writing debate etc.
A Report on MSME sector growth in the State of Rajasthan was presented by Shri Ravindra Nath CMD, NSIC to the Hon’ble Minister, MSME during the Samay Udyami -2014 Awards organised by Samay News Network. The report highlights the industrial scenario of Rajasthan ,the status of MSME sector and the problems being faced by this sector. The report also brings out various suggestions/ improvements required for the growth of MSME sector in Rajasthan.
NSIC supplied Peanut Paste Processing, Peanut Oil Processing & Tomato Paste Processing Plants to Senegal Military Department on turnkey basis. The quality of finish products obtained from plants after their Installation, Commissioning and Training to the Senegalese personnel at site were appreciated by authorities and believed that the said pilot Incubation project would be extremely useful to the Army of Senegal towards creating opportunities for ‘self-employment’.
