NSIC enters into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) for facilitating credit to MSMEs. The MOU was signed on 21st December 2015 making it a 32nd bank to enter into NSIC’s unique arrangement with banks under its Bank Tie-Up Scheme. This alliance has further strengthened NSIC’s sustained endeavors towards catering to the financing needs of MSMEs particularly giving boost to women entrepreneurs. The MOU has been signed by Shri Rajan Trehan General Manager (Finance) of NSIC and Shri Ajit Kumar General Manager (BMB) in the presence of Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD (NSIC) and Smt. Swathi S.M, ED(BMB).
MSME DEFEXPO 2015 ( December 10 to 12, 2015 )at Bengaluru organized by NSIC was inaugurated by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister, MSME in the presence of Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, Shri Manoj Joshi, Joint Secretary, MSME and Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC. The exhibition is a prestigious MSME Sub-contracting & Supply Exhibition for Defence, Aerospace and Homeland Security. It aims to be a platform for finding right partners, subcontracting opportunities and forging alliances. This 3-day event led to intensive interaction of MSMEs for business development with the leaders of defence and aerospace industry supply-chain together with industry partners, suppliers and technologists provides a setting that cannot be missed. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon`ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health and Family Affairs, Government of India awarded NSIC with ASSOCHAM -ICAI "Most Promising Brand" Award at the 3rd SME Excellence Award 2015 held during the Seminar on Financial Inclusion for Entrepreneurship and Innovation on 10th Dec 2015. The Award was received by Shri Gaurang Dixit, General Manager (SG), NSIC and Shri Manoj Lal, General Manager, NSIC on behalf of National Small Industries Corporation. Also, present on this occasion were Shri M. P. Raiker, Co-Chairman, National Council for MSMEs (ASSOCHAM), Shri V.Sharma, Central Council Member, ICAI, Shri Salil Chaturvedi, Director, SME Rating, CRISIL and Shri S. C. Aggarwal, Chairman, Micro Finance Council, ASSOCHAM and various members of Industrial Associations and Chamber of Commerce.
During his visit to NSIC on 07.12.15, Shri Manoj Joshi, Joint Secretary, MSME saw operations at NSIC-Training cum Incubation Centre and appreciated the efforts of NSIC in creating self-employment opportunities through Incubation program of NSIC. He also visited the upcoming Marketing Development Business Park (MDBP), Okhla New Delhi. Joint Secretary (MSME) also also interacted with senior officials at NSIC (Head Office) and was briefed about various activities /Operations of NSIC by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC.
A meeting was held at the office of Shri Manoj Joshi Joint Secretary (SME), Ministry of MSME on 1.12.2015, in the presence of Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC, to discuss the issues related to Performance and Credit Rating Scheme for MSEs, wherein official from 15 banks participated.
Mr. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC & Mr. Rajan Nanda, Chairman, Escorts Group jointly inaugurated the training on operations of heavy equipments like Backhoe Loader, Pick ‘n’ Carry Crane and Forklift. The training is planned to be conducted by NSIC-Technical Service Centre, Okhla in association with Escorts Ltd. Techmart India inaugurated by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Government of India in the gracious presence of Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Government of India, Dr. Anup K. Pujari, Secretary, MSME, Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and Shri P. Uday Kumar, Director P&M, NSIC. Techmart India 2015, the 23rd edition of NSIC’s premier exhibition, showcases products and technologies of MSMEs from all over India, in hall no 14 Pragati Maidan. Products / Technologies of 435 MSME units will be displayed during Techmart 2015, of which 300 MSMEs are participating through virtual display and 164 MSMEs through physical participation with live demonstration. The participants have a diverse profile such as Women Entrepreneurs, SC/ST and Entrepreneurs from North Eastern States. The event also provides opportunities for creating sustainable business alliances. NSIC - Technical Service Centre ( NTSC) Okhla signed MOU with Escorts Limited for imparting " Heavy Equipment Operators "Training in the campus of NTSC Okhla, New Delhi. This association would facilitate to address the requirement of skill manpower for the operations of heavy equipment by the construction industry. The MOU was signed by Shri Satvinder Singh, Senior General Manager ,NSIC on behalf of NSIC.
