SME CONCLAVE 2013 INAUGURATED BY CMD,NSIC
The SME Conclave 2013 organised by CARE Rating Agency was inaugurated by Dr.H.P.Kumar,CMD,NSIC recently. Also present on the occasion were Mr.Rakesh Dogra, Managing Director & CEO,CARE Ratings. Giving his inaugural address ,Dr Kumar,CMD,NSIC stated  Indian SMEs have been the driving force of India`s growth story. Even in times of current financial crisis the resilience of the sector has helped Indian economy to stay buoyed. In order to continue the growth story it is necessary that SMEs receive encouragement and support from the Banks and Rating  agencies so that they adopt and obtain new facilities for their needs. Many SMEs are not aware as to how to take advantages of numerous opportunities and various support services available to them for their business and growth. The SMEs should come forward take advantage of various facilities being offered by NSIC and avail its benefits. The latest technologies, marketing strategies, innovative ideas, IT solutions and financial products are the main areas on which SMEs should focus constant attention for sustained development.

NSIC – Canada sensitize MSME sector
Dr. H.P. Kumar, Chairman cum Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation, New Delhi and Ms. Susan Fennell, Mayor of Brampton, Canada  shared their views on potential & opportunities for cooperation in Small & Medium Enterprise Sector between both the countries in an Interactive Session during the visit of the Canadian delegation led by Ms. Fennel to India recently.

NSIC signs MOU with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
NSIC signed  Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the year 2013-14 with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The MOU was signed by Shri Madhav Lal, Secretary, MSME,  Govt. of India and Dr. H.P. Kumar,  CMD, NSIC. Shri C.K. Mishra, Joint Secretary,  Ministry of MSME ,Shri Ravindra Nath, and Shri P.Udayakumar, Directors were also present.

NSIC signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the year 2013-14 with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The MOU was signed by Shri Madhav Lal, Secretary, MSME, Govt. of India and Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC. Shri C.K. Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME ,Shri Ravindra Nath, and Shri P.Udayakumar, Directors were also present.

The NSIC and IIDFC renew SME Cooperation agreement
The mutual cooperation agreement between National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), India and Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IIDFC), Bangladesh has been renewed for further three years at a function at IIDFC Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 24 March 2013.Chairman cum Managing Director of NSIC Dr. H.P. Kumar and Chairman of IIDFC Mr. Matiul Islam signed the renewal agreement on behalf of their respective sides.The agreement is intended to learn and share best practices in SME sector both in India and Bangladesh.  These include facilitating sustainable business alliances between enterprises in India and Bangladesh, Transfer of Technology and holding Exhibitions and fostering Enterprise to Enterprise Cooperation through exchange of delegations.  Such share of knowledge and experience will help establishing direct linkage of SME entrepreneurs of both the countries which will ultimately boost total trade and commerce. Shri R. Masakui, First Secretary of High Commission of India, Shri S. Muhnot, Managing Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Shri Rajiv Chawla, Chairman of Integrated Association of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises of India (IamSME of India), Shri Pralay Dey, General Manager (Tech.) of NSIC, Shri M Syeduzzaman, Vice Chairman of IIDFC, Md. Asaduzzaman Khan, Managing Director of IIDFC, Md. Khalilur Rahman, Assistant Director of IIDFC, Md. Russel Shahrior, SVP & Head of SME Finance of IIDFC and Shri Nessar Maksud Khan, Sr. Vice  President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries were among other, present on the occasion.

Seminar on Micro Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) in Dhaka, Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Bank and the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) jointly organized a seminar on Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) in association with the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, Bangladesh at the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) conference room on 23rd March 2013. Presided over the IBCCI president Shri Abdul Matlub Ahmad the inaugural function was addressed by among other Dr. H.P. Kumar, Chairman cum Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Shri Sushil Muhnot, Chairman and Managing Director, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Shri Pankaj Saran, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka, Shri Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled, Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Shri Rajiv Chawla, IAM SME of India.The focus of the seminar is to explore opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in the MSME sector. It is expected to open a new avenue of engagement between the entrepreneurs and businesses of Bangladesh and India. This was perhaps the first seminar of its kind aimed at bringing together the premier institutions from India and Bangladesh in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector.The chairpersons of NSIC, SIDBI and IamSME of India provided detailed presentation on their subjects and shared Indian experiences on the vibrant MSME sector. The seminar got overwhelmed response and more than 200 distinguished representatives from various enterprises, organizations and institutions of MSME sector of Bangladesh took part in the seminar.

NSIC exchanged Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation with Social Fund for Development (SFD), Arab Republic of Egypt
NSIC exchanged Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation with Social Fund for Development (SFD), Arab Republic of Egypt in the august presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh and Hon’ble President of Arab Republic of Egypt H.E. Mr. Mohamed Morsy during the visit of the Hon’ble President of Egypt to India. The MoU was signed by Dr. H.P. Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC and Mrs. G.H. Waly, Managing Director of SFD at Hyderabad House on March 19, 2013. The MoU envisages cooperation between two organizations for the development of micro & small enterprises in Egypt.

NSIC signed Agreement with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India for upgradation of Vocational Training Centre in Egypt
National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) signed Agreement with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India for upgradation of Vocational Training Centre in Egypt on 15th March, 2013 at South Block, New Delhi. The Agreement was signed by Dr. H.P. Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC and Shri Ravi Bangar, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa), MEA. The projects envisage creating self employment opportunities by imparting training in entrepreneurship building and skill development. NSIC is also setting up similar Centres in other African Countries viz. Ethiopia, Burundi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Gambia, Gabon, Rwanda, Burkina Faso & Libya with a view to promote creation and development of Micro and Small Enterprises.

NSIC signs MOU with Indian Overseas Bank for financing credit to MSME under its Bank Tie Up Scheme
NSIC signs MOU with Indian Overseas Bank on 16.01.2013 at New Delhi. With this joint association with Indian Overseas Bank NSIC aims to provide seamless credit flow to entrepreneurs thereby empowering them in realizing their dreams . The MOU was signed by Sh. Ravindra Nath Director (Finance) of NSIC and Sh. Yogesh Jain (General Manager) of Indian Overseas Bank .

CMD NSIC greets employees on New Year’s Day
All the employees of the Company  organised a get-together with Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC  on the occasion of New Year’s Day .The  CMD, NSIC encouraged everyone to maintain and improve the image of the Company and work hard to continue the  growth of the company and MSME Sector. Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC also impressed upon the employees the need to respect and honour Women and led them in a one minute pledge to respect woman  in every walk of life.

NSIC Under its Corporate Social responsibility initiatives, in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust, Punjab organized Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp at Ludhiana. Shri Ravindra Nath, Director(Fin),NSIC distributed Artificial Limbs, Tricycle & Wheel Chairs free of cost in the camp to Physically Challenged Persons.

NSIC signed MOU with IPEME for setting up Vocational Training Centre at Mozambique.The MoU was signed by Shri P.Udayakumar,Director(P&M) ,NSIC and Mr. Claire MateusZimba,Director General,IPEME  in the presence of officials of  Indian High Commission and IPEME,Mozambique.

NSIC signs MOU with Punjab and Sind Bank for financing credit to MSME under its Bank Tie Up Scheme
NSIC has entered into MOU agreement with Punjab and Sind Bank on 23.10.2012 to bolster  its endeavour towards catering to the financial needs of MSMEs in the country. NSIC’s unique alliance with Punjab and Sind Bank will help in nurturing the Micro and Small Scale Industries to build their financial strength and sustain in the global markets.
