In a yet another strategic move NSIC has signed MOU with Vijaya Bank on 04.10.2011 making it 15th bank enlisted under its Bank Credit Facilitation Scheme.NSIC believes in strengthening its endeavour in serving the MSME Sector by providing them with credit flow through its unique and integrated tie up arrangement with various commercial banks. The MOU has been signed by Sh. Ravindra Nath Director(Finance) of NSIC and Sh. H.N Shetty General Manager,Delhi Region of Vijaya Bank.
NSIC launched a Web Portal on July 7, 2011 for disseminating Marketing Intelligence to MSME sector in the country. Present on the ocassion were Shri Uday Kumar Varma, Secretary, MSME, Dr. H.P.Kumar, Chairman, NSIC, Shri Ravindra Nath Director(Fin), NSIC Shri P.UdayKumar, Dir(P&M), NSIC, Shri Ashok .k. Mangotra, Director General, DGSD and Members of Industry Associations. The www.msmemarketingintelligence.com web portal will facilitate connectivity to Indian MSMEs and access to global enterprises in accessing information about the products and technologies available from MSME sector in India.
NSIC has signed MOU with Bank of Baroda on 28.07.2011 to strengthen its endeavour for serving to the financial needs of MSME Sector.This instrumental alliance with Bank of Baroda would invariably offer MSME’s a suitable platform to cater to their credit requirements. The MOU has been signed by Sh. Ravindra Nath Director(Finance) of NSIC and Sh. J Ramesh General Manager,Corporate Center (SME&WM) of Bank of Baroda.
Mr. Ravindra Nath, Director (Finance) and Mr. Satvinder Singh, General Manager, NSIC invited by Directeur de I’Intendance des Armees, Etat-Major General Des Armees, Senegal to conclude the terms for the supply of turn-key projects for manufacturing of products required by Military department. During the recent visit of NSIC officials, the military authorities in Senegal confirmed with their acceptance to NSIC for the supply of Plant & Machines pertaining to the projects like Ground Nut Paste, Ground Nut Oil, Tomato Puree and Fruit Juice.During the visit of NSIC officials to Senegal, the delegation met Mr. Abdoulaye FALL, General Chief of Staff, Senegal and discussed in detailed about the association of NSIC with Military agencies.
Department of Industrial Development (DID), Ministry of Energy & Industry, Government of Qatar confirmed with acceptance to NSIC, to carry out the consultancy assignment for Identification & Preparation of Project Profiles for Small & Medium enterprises in Qatar. Mr. Ravindra Nath, Director (Finance) NSIC signed the contract with DID, Qatar on behalf of NSIC. Mr. Satvinder Singh, GM, NSIC was also present during signing of contract.
National Small Industries Corporation signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HMT (International) Limited on 9th June, 2011 in the presence of Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC and Shri S. Girish Kumar, Managing Director, HMT(I).
An international Exhibition DEF+CONTRACT INDIA 2011 Exhibition was jointly organised by NSIC & Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) from 11th to 13th March, 2011 at EMDBP, NSIC Campus, Kushaiguda, ECIL “X” Roads, Hyderabad. Shri Uday Kumar Verma, Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Dr H.P.Kumar, CMD. Shri Amarendra Sinha, Jt.Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Shri Ravindra Nath, Director (Finance), NSIC, Shri Mohan Suresh, President-FISME, CMDs of BDL & MIDHANI and other VIPs from Govt. bodies and Industry Associations were also present.
NSIC in association with Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries Association (CODISSIA) organized International Exhibition FABTEC India 2011 from 21st to 25th January 2011 at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. with focus on metal fabrication, metal forming industries, welding, paints and coats technologies etc. The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri M. Kutralingam IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME, Govt of Tamilnadu in the presence of Shri P.Udaya Kumar, Director (P&M), NSIC Shri.M Kandhaswami, President, Codissia., Dr. P. Umanath, District Collector, Coimbatore, Shri.V.Arumugam, Zonal General Manager, NSIC, and officials from Branch Office Coimbatore. Giving the keynote address, Shri.P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC stated the importance of metal working and fabrication. In view of shifting focus of fabrication to India the scope for metal working is increasing.
An Agreement of mutual cooperation was signed between National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), New Delhi and Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) of Botswana for the development of micro, small & medium enterprises in both the countries. The MOU was signed by Dr H.P Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC and Dr. T.T.K Matome, Chief Executive Officer, LEA, Botswana in the august presence of Lieutenant General Mompati Sebogodi Merafhe, Vice President of Botswana. Mr. Oreeditse Molebatsi, Assistant Minister of Agriculture of Botswana, Ms. D.A. Kgosietsile, High Commissioner of Botswana in New Delhi were also present during the MoU signing ceremony. The MOU envisages setting up of Technology cum Business Incubator Centres, developing policies and Institutional framework for SME development in Botswana.
An Agreement of Mutual Cooperation between National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and One Village One Product (OVOP), Board of Malawi was signed at Lilongwe, Malawi for the development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in both the countries. The Agreement was signed by Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC and Mr. Brian Bowler, High Commissioner of the Republic of Malawi in India in the august presence of Shri M.H. Ansari , Hon`ble Vice President of India and Ms. Joyce Banda, Hon’ble Vice President of Republic of Malawi .
An Agreement of Mutual Cooperation between National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and Industrial & Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IIDFC), Bangladesh was signed on 30th March, 2010 at Dhaka, Bangladesh for the development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in both the countries. The Agreement was signed by Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC and Md. Matiul Islam, Chairman, IIDFC, in the august presence of Shri Rajeet Mitter, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Advisor on Economic Affairs and Mr. Atiur Rahman, Governer of Bangladesh Bank.
H.E Prof. Alpha Oumar Konare, Chairman, African Union, who was in India to attend India-Africa Forum, visited NSIC and was quite impressed with NSIC's programmes to enhance the competitiveness of micro and small enterprises within the country and in other developing countries. Dr. H.P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC took him around NSIC's Incubator for creating self employment opportunities for unemployed youths. Prof. Konare took deep interest in more than 47 projects installed in NSIC incubator and expressed these projects could be quite useful for most of the African countries.
