On the occasion of World Environment Day Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC along with Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC administered pledge on "Mission Lifestyle for Awareness " (LIFE) with NSIC employees. On this occasion to encourage healthy planet, they also planted saplings in the NSIC campus. The theme for World Environment Day 2023 is "Solutions to Plastic Pollution".

As a prelude to celebrate World Environment Day (05th June, 2023), NSIC organized a webinar on Mission Life Style for environment on 01st June, 2023 for NSIC employees imparting knowledge on adopting Healthier habits as regards to eating, planting etc. in our daily lives to protect and preserve the environment. The speaker of the webinar was Dr. Namita Mathur, CEO, International Institute of Health & Hygiene (IIHH). The program was coordinated by Ms. Hina Sharma, DM (Training), NSIC.
NSIC organized a virtual meeting with Development Centre Novo Mesto, Slovenia on 31st May, 2023 to discuss the possible areas of cooperation between the two organizations under the chairship of H.E. Ms. Namrata S. Kumar, Ambassador of India in Slovenia. Mr. Navin Chopra, Chief General Manager (SG) (Technology Division), Mr. Sunil Tyagi, GM-SG (International Cooperation) and Mr. Rajesh Kumar, GM (Technology) apprised the Slovenian side about the activities of NSIC Technical Service Centres & its model of Rapid Incubation Centre for aspiring entrepreneurs. The participants from Slovenian side also informed about support services the Development Centre provides to facilitate budding entrepreneurs and startups through its various channel programs, business incubators, science and technology centres in Slovenia. Honourable President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu alongwith Sh. Radhakrishnan, Honourable Governor of Jharkhand, Sh. Arjun Munda, Honourable Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Honourable Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sh. Hemant Soren graced the NSIC stall on 25th May 2023 during the Women SHG Sammelan organised Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Khunti District, Jharkhand .Shri S.H.Siddiqui, Zonal Head ( East 1& 2), NSIC briefed them about the NSIC initiatives for the growth of Entrepreneurship , Skill development and the MSME sector in the region.
NSIC-TSC (Rajkot) has entered into a MOU with A. V. PAREKH TECHNICAL INSTITUTE, Rajkot on 25th May, 2023 to perform collaborative support for the start-ups & to promote startup culture in Saurashtra-Kutch region. In this regard NSIC-TSC will organise campaigns, workshops in industrial clusters to create awareness about NSIC offerings for the MSME sector. The MoU was signed by Shri U.K.Kohli, GM, NTSC, Rajkot, Shri Dr. P P Kotak, Principle, AVPTI, Rajkot in the presence of Shri D D Vagadia , Professor Rajkot & NTSC (Rajkot) Team.
At the initiative of Shri Gurpal Singh, Zonal Head ( North 2 ), the SAIL team visited NSIC offices (Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Jalandhar) to interact with NSIC Associates lifting Raw Material being supplied by SAIL and assured full support and cooperation to NSIC. The SAIL team was led by Shri B.N.Shah, GM (Wire Rod) .The NSIC (Zone North 2) has already distributed 85 wagons material worth Rs 30.20 Cr appx and 50 wagons material worth Rs. 20 Cr booked expected in May 23. Overall NSIC ( Zone North -II) is expecting to surpass steel lifting of April 23.
Honorable Chief Minister Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, was apprised on 23/05/2023 about NSIC initiatives for the growth of MSME sector, NSIC Incubation & Skill development programs in the state of Assam including North-Eastern states by Shri Vijay Prakash, Zonal Head, (North East) NSIC. Congratulating the NSIC team , the Honorable Chief Minister (Assam) assured full cooperation from the State Govt to encourage entrepreneurship in the region.

Shri T. Roumuan Paite, CMD, NSTFDC, visited Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI) Rourkela on 09th May, 2023 and appreciated the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Training being offered at LBI. During his visit, Shri T. Roumuan Paite, CMD, NSTFDC interacted with the participating trainees and distributed certificates to successfully completed 23 Schedule Tribes trainees of the Electrician & Beautician course. Shri Durga Madhab Nayak, Chief Manager & Centre Head, NTSC apprised him about the offerings of offering of LBI (Rourkela) Centre.
