Celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and encouraging greener planet, the NSIC – Technical Services Centre (Okhla) planted saplings in their Campus on 18th April 2023. The saplings were planted by Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, Shri Navin Chopra, CGM(SG)(Tech) , Shri Rajesh Kumar , GM (Tech) and Shri O.P. Singh ,Centre Head, NTSC (Okhla) in the presence of Shri Vimalesh Bhatia, Chief Manager , Shri Avinash, Deputy Manager. The NSIC Technical Services Centre all over the country conduct market driven and industry oriented courses in various technical fields. To further facilitate optimum utilization of trained manpower output from NTSC , they regularly organizes Job Fairs in their respective campus, to give fair opportunities to candidates passing out from different courses being conducted in the NTSCs.
NTSC (Rajkot) received NABL CERTIFICATE for New Solar water pump Testing facilities and it is1st Government Solar Water Pump Testing Laboratory in Gujarat Region wherein fully automatic solar pump testing set up is created with real time data acquisition. Testing facility will be as per MNRE/BIS Standard/NABL Procedure and covers testing range from 1HP to 10HP solar pumps. NTSC (Rajkot) created these facilities based on requirement of MSME units located in Saurastra Region added scope for Plastic Testing Laboratory& Solar Water Pump Testing and material Testing facilities to serve Manufactures/ MSMEs for testing and take maximum benefit of this testing facility. Shri U.K. Kohli, Centre Head, NTSC (Rajkot) took this initiative on behalf of The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.
NTSC (Rajkot) has signed an MOU with Government Engineering College, (Rajkot) on the occasion of the Demo Day – “PRAYAS” on 31st March, 2023 to achieve academic and industry-Institute interaction objectives. The program was inaugurated by Shri Arun Mahesh Babu, IAS , Collector and DM, Rajkot in the presence of Shri U. K.Kohli, GM, NTSC, Rajkot, and Shri Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Maradia, Principle, GEC, Rajkot.
NSIC Ludhiana (North-II) during the year 2023-24 distributed Full Rake load (Train)of SAIL Blooms (45 Wagons, 2842 MT, 14.25 Crore) with a total of 54 Wagons (3396 MT, 17.41 Crore) of Iron & Steel material .Now beginning Raw Material Distribution for FY 2023-24 with full enthusiasm , Shri Gurpal Singh, Zonal Head, NSIC (Zone 2) along with his team visited SAIL (Mandi Gobindgarh) to continue their relationship with SAIL in the interest of growth of various MSME stakeholders
LBI-Kashipur successfully completed the Livelihood Business EDP training to 100 candidates under CSR initiative of M/s. India Glycol Ltd. Kashipur on 13.03.2023. The training was provided in the field of Computer basics for general candidates and beautician course for female candidates. On this occasion, NSIC-LBI Kashipur distributed the Tool kits and certificates to successful candidates to help them start their livelihood business. After the training, 10 women candidates have setup their own business of Beauty Parlour and become self-employed. 5 trainees of Computer Course have got job offers as computer operator. The program was coordinated by Shri Mudup Mishra, Vice-President & Shri Vikrant Choudhary, Administrator of M/s. India Glycol Ltd, along with Shri Punit Kumar, Centre Head, NSIC-LBI Kashipur.
Branch Head, NSIC (Naraina) Shri Vineet Kashyap had a fruitful interaction with Sh. Sunil Kumar Murathia , GM & RM (North Region & Eastern Region), SAIL, on 22nd March,2023 to start lifting of S.S. Material for facilitating MSMEs in the region.
Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), during his visit to NTSC (Okhla) appreciated the Common Facility Services (CFS), Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Training being offered at LBI and Advance Training Centre. Interacting with the NTSC (Okhla ) officers /staff he emphasized to launch Training where skills on advance technological tools can be offered to trainees. He also encouraged the NTSC officers to take up new challenges and expand the core activities of the centre. Sh. Navin Chopra, CGM-SG (Tech.), Sh. O.P Singh (Centre Head), NTSC (Okhla) and Sh. Rajesh Kumar, GM (Tech.) appraised him about the initiatives and achievements of the Centre.
NSIC (Hyderabad) signed an MoU with RADHA Smelters Ltd. For supply of TMT/ Rebars (Brand: RADHA TMT) to MSME sector under RMD scheme. The MoU was signed by Shri K. Srinivas, Zonal Head, NSIC (South-II) and Shri Subash Chowdary, National Head, Radha Smelters Ltd., for supplies in Telangana, AP, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Orissa States.
Ms. Constance Swaniker, CEO of Design and Technology Institute (DTI), Ghana during her visit to NSIC visited NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre at NSIC’s Technical Service Center, Okhla on 03.03.2023. She observed that NSIC’s model of Rapid Incubation Centre for employment generation and Advanced Training Centre is apt for development of MSMEs in Ghana and other African Nations. She appreciated NSIC’s facilities for skill development and creation of self-employment opportunities.Mr. Sunil Tyagi, GM-SG (IC) apprised her of the NSIC activities and discussed the possible cooperation areas between NSIC and Ghana.Mr. O.P. Singh, GM - Head NTSC, Mr. Vimlesh Bhatia, Chief Manager (NTSC-Okhla), Mr. Anupam Tiwari, Manager (IC) and Mr. Shashank Shekhar, Asst. Manager (IC) were present during the visit.
On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), NSIC conducted a one day Training Program on Women Wellness – Be the Heathy You on 06th March 2023 (Monday) to celebrate the International Women’s Day (IWD). The theme of IWD 2023 was DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality. Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning and Marketing) inaugurated the program and encouraged women employees to do well in their work areas and take NSIC to the next level. He also acknowledged and appreciated the contributions that women and girls are making to technology and online learning. Shri Vidya Sagar Singh, GM-SG (Training) also emphasized on the importance of women empowerment and shared his belief that Where women are worshiped (respected), their divinity prevails and shines. In total 50 women employees participated in the program.
NSIC (Guwahati) participated in MSME Tool Room Conclave at Guwahati on 05th & 06th March, 2023. On this occasion, Shri Bhanu Pratab Singh, Honorable Minister of State (MSME), Sh. Bimal Borah Ji, Honorable Minister Commerce and Industries, Govt of Assam, Shri B.B Swain, Secretary(MSME) and Smt. Mercy Epao, JS(SME) & CMD, NSIC, with Secretary (Commerce & Industries), Principal Secretary (Skill Development) and Commissioner (Commerce and Industries) visited the stalls and interact with entrepreneurs.
Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State , MSME along with Mr B B Swain, Secretary MSME on 24/02/2023 inaugurated the NTSC (Rajkot) Solar Water Pump Testing laboratory in the presence of Ms Mercy Epao, CMD, NSIC, Smt Ishita Ganguly , ADC (MSME ) at NSIC Technical Services Centre, Rajkot. Inaugurating the new facility for the MSME Sector, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Hon, ble Minister of State stated that NSIC has been doing yeoman service for the growth of MSME sector, entrepreneurs in the country and the MSMEs must come forward and avail the benefits of the various facilities being offered at the NSIC - Technical Services Centre(Rajkot). Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mercy Epao, CMD, NSIC stated that NSIC is constantly diversifying its services in tune with the market demand and as per the need of the hour would also upgrade to offer high end skill development programs for the MSME sector.
