Shurshree Sobha Karandlaje, Honourable Minister of State, MSME, Govt of India, visited NSIC Guwahati Training Centre on 30th October 2025 alongwith Dr S.S Acharya, CMD, NSIC and Sh. Kartikeya Sinha DPM, NSIC on 30th October 2025. During her visit she appreciated the skilling and entrepreneurship initiatives of NSIC and expressed her happiness about the overwhelmingly large section of trainees being Women. She distributed Certificates to the successful trainees and encouraged them to utilise the opportunity of various schemes of Govt after completion of training courses. She lauded NSIC training centre for its continued endeavours towards micro-enterprise creation.
The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), a Mini Ratna enterprise under the Ministry of MSME, paid a dividend of ₹43.89 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024-25. The dividend cheque was presented by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC to Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon'ble Union Minister of MSME and Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon'ble MoS, Ministry of MSME, in the presence of Shri S.C.L. Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Ms. Mercy Epao, JS (SME), Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC and other senior officials from Ministry and NSIC. Dr. Acharya highlighted NSIC's financial milestones, including a revenue of ₹3,431 crore and Profit after Tax (PAT) of ₹146.30 crore, up by 15.60% from the previous year. The Hon'ble Minister applauded NSIC's efforts in empowering MSMEs through integrated support services, and both leaders expressed confidence in NSIC's continued role in fostering enterprise creation and skill development.
A conclave on “Accelerating MSME Growth Across ASEAN” was held during SME Ventures@ASEAN 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing together senior representatives from ASEAN and international organizations to deliberate on policies and initiatives to enhance MSME competitiveness, innovation, and regional integration. Dr. S.S Acharya, CMD, NSIC, participated as a distinguished panelist in the discussion, which also included sr. officials from SME Corp. Malaysia, the Enterprise Development Board (DARe), Brunei, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and the IFC. During the session, Dr. Acharya shared insights on India’s MSME development framework and highlighted NSIC’s initiatives in promoting entrepreneurship, access to finance, technology upgradation, and global market linkages. He underlined India’s massive digitalization drive that has paved the way for faster and more transparent credit dispensation through end-to-end digitization.
NSIC and SME Corporation Malaysia, a government agency under Malaysia’s Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen SME cooperation. The MoU was signed in the distinguished presence of YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, Malaysia along with senior officials from the High Commission of India in Malaysia. This MoU marks a new chapter in India–Malaysia MSME cooperation, translating high-level intent into structured programs for growth, innovation, and cross-border trade.
The SME Ventures @ ASEAN 2025 event was inaugurated by Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. The event also saw the presence of Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development. Under the aegis of NSIC, seven Indian enterprises took part in the event, using the platform to exhibit their products and engage in regional industry dialogues. On the sidelines, the Dr. S.S Acharya, CMD, NSIC held substantive discussions with Mr. Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy, CEO of SME Corp Malaysia Talks focused on fast-track initiatives and collaborative programmes that can be rolled out immediately to benefit SMEs from both nations.
Towards facilitating availability, accessibility & affordability of credit to MSMEs, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with Bank of Baroda on 10th October, 2025 at MSME Conclave held at Bengaluru under its MSME Credit facilitation program. The Occasion witnessed august presence of Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Govt of India. The MoU was exchanged between Shri V Raghunath, Dy. General Manager (Finance), NSIC and Shri Dhrubashish Bhattacharya General Manager (MSME &Co-Lending) in the presence of Dr. S. S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC, Ateesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME and senior official from KASSIA.
A MSME Marketing Conclave was organized by NSIC, under the Trade Enablement & Marketing (TEAM) initiative of Ministry of MSME under the RAMP program on 10-Oct-2025 at the KASSIA Conference Hall, Bangalore. The Conclave was graced by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, MOS, Ministry of MSME, as the Chief Guest. The other dignitaries present included Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya,CMD NSIC, Sh. Ateesh Kumar Singh, JS-AFI, Ministry of MSME & Sh. Ninganna S. Biradar, VP, KASSIA. Addressing the gathering, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, MOS of MSME, stated that the MSME sector is contributing 40 percent to the total exports meeting and serving the needs of all sectors, including agriculture, food, defence, space and artificial intelligence. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD NSIC stated that the success of a sustainable MSME sector rested on strengthening three key pillars - enterprise creation, technology & skills, credit availability and market linkages.

NSIC, under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, conducted a series of online trainings for officials from Myanmar Ministry of Industry. Covering nine technical courses—including Mechatronics, CNC, CAD/CAM, Digital Marketing, and Web Development etc., these training programs were conducted from January 13 to September 29, 2025. To mark the successful completion of these programs, a virtual Valedictory Session was held on September 29, 2025. The session featured addresses by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC, Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, along with senior officials from the Govt. of India and Myanmar. Dr. Acharya congratulated the trainees and awarded them E-certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the training. During the session, participants from Myanmar expressed their appreciation for the training and shared their learning experiences, commending the structured and effective delivery of courses
The 70th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) was held on 30th Sept. 2025 at the registered office of the company at New Delhi. Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD (NSIC) shared brief highlights of the year which included highest ever performance of the Company. NSIC, aligned with its mission, is dedicated to opening new avenues for the support, growth and empowerment of MSMEs. NSIC envisions facilitating access to advanced technology, fostering skill development, and broadening the outreach of Government of India initiatives to benefit a larger MSME ecosystem. The AGM was attended by the shareholders, all Directors including Govt. Nominee Directors, Statutory & Secretarial Auditor(s) and other senior officials of the Company.
In furtherance of the strengthening partnership between NSIC and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) of Egypt, under the framework of MoU signed last year, a MSMEDA Egypt Pavilion has been arranged at the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 being held from September 25-29, 2025 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The pavilion showcases the participation of five Egyptian enterprises at UPITS 2025. The initiative aims to provide Egyptian MSMEs with exposure to the Indian market while fostering opportunities for collaboration, networking, and bilateral trade. UPITS is a flagship event of the Govt. of UP, organized in collaboration with India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML). This year’s edition was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The MSMEDA Egypt Pavilion was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC and His Excellency Mr. Kamel Zayed Galal, Ambassador of Egypt to India.
