On the occasion of International Women's Day 2018, an interaction meet was organized for the Women Employees with the Directors on Board,NSIC Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M) and Shri A.K.Mittal, Director(Finance) on 08th March 2018. During the interaction it was emphasized that women must spare substantial time for self-care, healthcare and last but not the least for making the most of the precious life by giving their best for the growth of NSIC and living it to the fullest. Also present on this occasion was Shri Rajesh Tripathi, GM(HR),NSIC.
Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC welcomed Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Water Resources, Ganga Rejuvenation and Parliamentary Affairs during his visit to NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre (RIC) for entrepreneurship creation and Advanced Training Centre for Skill Development at New Delhi. Sh. Nath apprised him about how NSIC has been assisting micro and small enterprises in India and Abroad. He also apprised him of how NSIC’s Technical Centers are creating self-employment opportunities for the youth and also promoting setting up of new MSMEs in the country. Hon’ble Minister Sh. Arjun Ram Meghwal showed keen interest in the simple and low-cost projects in the centre which encourage entrepreneurship and transform youth from “Job seekers to job providers” by making them entrepreneurs and improving their skill sets by providing advanced training. Hon’ble Minister, Sh. Meghwal appreciated the excellent work been done by NSIC for the growth of MSMEs in the country. He also expressed that NSIC has improved a lot under the leadership of Sh. Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC and his team. He appreciated CMD, NSIC for excellent job done by him. Also present on the occasion were Sh. A.K. Mittal, Director (Finance) and other senior officials of NSIC.
NSIC is conferred with "ET Now - CSR Leadership Award" at the Green Future Leadership awards held at Mumbai on 18th Feb 2018, acknowledging its CSR initiatives in activities like Health Care and Medical assistance to specially abled and other weaker sections of the society, education, Safe Drinking Water, Women Empowerment ,Skill Development, Environment Sustainability etc.

The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC organised a National SC/ST Hub conclave at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Sh. Subhash Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Industries & Mines, Govt of Maharashtra was the Chief Guest of conclave. Sh. Sunil Zode, Member, High Powered Monitoring Committee, NSSH, M/o MSME, New Delhi was the special Guest in the event. The other dignitaries graced the occasion were Shri H. D. Kapse, MD, Indo German Tool Room, Aurangabad. Shri S. V. Rasal, Director, IDEMI, Mumbai, Shri R B Gupte. Director, MSME-DI, Mumbai, Shri Dilip S. Guralwar, Joint Director- Industries (I/c) Govt. of Maharashtra, Shri. Deepak Bhingardeo, Dy. Director, MCED, Aurangabad, Dr P.G.S. Rao, Director, Ministry of MSME, GOI, Shri R.B. Senior officers from CPSEs, Rating agencies and Banking sector were also present during the event. More than 825 SC-ST (approx) Entrepreneurs were present during the Conclave.

Murugan, Vice Chairman, National Commission for Scheduled Castes during his visit to NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre (RIC) for entrepreneurship creation and Advanced Training Centre for Skill Development at New Delhi. Sh. Nath apprised him about how this Centre is transforming youth from “employment seeker to job provider” by making them entrepreneurs and improving their skill sets by providing advanced training. Mr. L. Murugan appreciated the appropriate technologies placed in the RIC and appreciated the efforts of NSIC in creating self employment opportunities for youth including weaker section of the society.
Panasonic Team visited NSIC to explore areas of Mutual Cooperation in the area of Training and Skill development for MSME sector and budding entrepreneurs. Shri N.M.Mehra, Vice President Panasonic India had a glimpse of the NSIC Advanced Training Centre and applauded the efforts of NSIC in this direction. Also present in this occasion were Shri Manoj Lal,GM(SG) and Shri O.P.Singh, DGM.
Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD, NSIC conferred with "CEO with HR Orientation Award ( PSU focus)" at the Times Ascent - World HRD Congress ( Mumbai) for honoring visionary CEOs in building HR into the fabric of Business.
Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC inaugurated a free Diabetes/Hypertension related end-organ-damage screening camp for underprivileged high-risk diabetes patients, organised by Diabetes Care Foundation at Chattarpur Dispensary on 11th Feb 2018 . The camp, which will continue till 31st March, aims to provide underprivileged and high risk patients in the community free and easy access to advanced, state-of-the-art life saving diagnostic facilities. Speaking on the occasion Shri Ravindra Nath,CMD,NSIC stated that Diabetes is No longer “a rich man’s disease”, the burden that diabetes places on poor patients is much higher than that on patients who are well off because of the complications it causes for other major organ system and such initiatives would go a long way in providing the much needed care.
NSIC participated in the Seminar organized by PHDCII and Indian Air Force on "Indigenisation of IAF Aviation requirement" on 05 February 2018. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD NSIC addressed the gathering comprising of senior officials of Armed Forces such as Air Marshal, Brigadier including host of MSME units and highlighted the benefits of NSIC Schemes for MSMEs and the Armed forces.
