National Small Industries Corporation Ltd., (NSIC) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., (IOCL) organized a Vendor Development Programme in partnership with Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) on 4TH November 2019, for the benefit of MSE suppliers in Karnataka. The meet was aimed at promoting vendor development among the micro & small enterprises by the IOCL in meeting its procurement requirements. Sri P. Ravikumar, Chief General Manager, NSIC inaugurating the vendor development meet emphasized that the meet was specially organized to benefit MSE suppliers with respect to opportunities with IOCL, which is a large procurer of supplies from the sector. Sri R. Raju, President, KASSIA welcomed the gathering and presided over the meeting. A detailed presentation was made on the supply opportunities in IOCL for the MSEs. He said Kassia was particularly happy that a large corporation like the IOCL was present here as an important part of the VDP. Being a major buyer in the public sector, their presence and encouragement and interaction with MSEs present here will be of great benefit to the participants. Sri R. Sundareswaran, General Manager, (Contract Cell) IOCL particularly explained the e-tendering process and the details of how SMEs can utilize the opportunities to supply to IOCL. He particularly mentioned that they would prefer MSE suppliers registered with NSIC for making such supplies considering the duly diligence process involved in the registration of suppliers with IOCL. Kassia Office Bearers, Sri K.R. Karunakaran, DGM, IOCL, Sri S. Rajamoni, NSSHO, NSIC Sri M. Sreevatsan, DGM, NSIC and other Senior Officers participated in the programme. A large number of Kassia Members and MSEs participated in the vendor development meet.
NSIC observed The Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as "RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (National Unity Day)” on 31.10.20-19 and officers and employees administered "RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS PLEDGE" on this occasion.
The NSIC officers and employees of the corporation administered "Integrity Pledge for Citizens" and "Integrity Pledge for Organisations" today on the occasion of "Vigilance Awareness Week" being observed in NSIC from 28th Oct 2019 to 02rd Nov.2019. This year the theme of observing vigilance awareness week is 'Integrity a Way of Life ". During the week, various activities like display of banners, deliverance of lectures, workshops, essay writing, are being undertaken by NSIC employees in various NSIC Branch/Zonal offices /NTSCs across the country .The pledge was administered by Shri Rajan Trehan,CVO,NSIC.
Shri P.Udayakumar,Director(P&M),NSIC inaugurated the Banks outreach program organized by Bank of Maharastra in Noida wherein more than 30 Banks ,NBFCs , RSETIs participated. Around 300 customers were present and loans sanctions were distributed.
NTSC-Okhla, launched a new training programme on Electrical Vehicle Charging Technology (EVCT) in association with M/s Delta Electronics as a knowledge partner w.e.f 13.09.2019 to 27.09.2019. First batch comprising of 34 trainees from various Engineering Colleges, I.T.I and Technical Institutions joined this training programme and completed their training successfully. All participants applauded the initiative taken by NTSC Okhla These trained candidates are ready to be deployed for the Installation, Repair and Maintenance & Servicing at various charging stations. Centre is getting potential queries for admissions in training on Electrical Vehicle Charging Technology.
Hon'ble Minister of State, MSME, Govt.of India Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi visited IMDC Building, Bhubaneswar on Saturday i.e. 12.10.2019 and discussed about the activities of NSIC in Odisha and advised to create awareness in various location of Odisha so that unemployed youth will get to know the facility available with NSIC. So that they can start new venture for their sustainable growth. He also visited our Apparel Training Center, SC-ST Hub and Branch Office Bhubaneswar and undersigned briefed the Hon'ble Minister about the NSIC activities in Odisha.

Raw Mat India 2019 was organised by CODISSIA from 18th-20th September ’2019 wherein 13 MSE units availed subsidised stalls through NSIC-PMSS for participation. Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (P & M) was Chief Guest and his address to the participants was highly applauded by the participants. Director (P &M) during his address stressed the importance of working on cost of raw materials and other micro factors involved in the manufacturing. The upcoming aggregation services were also appraised by DPM during his address.
MoU has been signed in between NTSC Hyderabad & ITI Ltd. Bengaluru on 30-09-2019 in the presence of Sh. Alagesan, CMD - ITI, Sh. A B Prabhuraj, GM & Centre Head, Sh. Y. Muralidhar, CGM ITI Ltd & other officials. The main purpose of MoU is to provide e2e telecom solution to the Nation. NTSC Hyderabad has joined hands with ITI Ltd to encash the opportunities of ITI for providing excellence in Technology, product & services in the area of switching, Transmission Access, encryption & defense communication products , SMT Lines, Scada system, encryption, Maintenance, installation & repair, CFS works etc. which could lead NTSC to penetrate in our new SBUs.
