Meeting with Secretary, MSME, Govt. of Tamilnadu & visit to Central Footwear Training Institute (CFTI) ,CHENNAI ON 22.04.2019
Director (P&M), NSIC met Sh. Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, Secretary MSME, Govt. of Tamilnadu at his office and discussed about the possibilities of partnering with Tamilnadu Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (TANSIDCO) & MSME Department, Govt. of Tamilnadu for commercial and Promotional  activities. 

Secretary expressed his acceptance to promote the growth of MSMEs in the state. It was decided to share the draft MoU prepared by NSIC with the Dept. of MSME, Govt. of TN for relevant commercial operation.

Further Director (P&M) had a meeting with Branch heads of BO Ambattur & Chennai. Director (P&M) also visited Central Footwear Training Institute (CFTI) and distributed tool kits to the trainees who were attending the 6 months course training on Footwear Design and Production. 

Director (P&M) along with Zonal Head, South-III visited NSSHO-Chennai, reviewed their performance for the year 2018-19 and enquired about the customers visiting the office and advised to prepare the success stories of the beneficiaries of NSSHO Chennai.

NTSC Hyderabad got approval from SBTET , Telangana (State Board Of Technical Education And Training) for conducting various certificate course
NTSC Hyderabad got approval from SBTET , Telangana (State Board Of Technical Education And Training) for conducting various certificate course in engineering department which includes mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science and management  disciplines. duration of course is minimum  of 6 months to 1 year. At the end of successful completion of course we support them getting placement in core field.

Meeting with SBI and ICICI Bank at Mumbai on 16.04.2019
Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) had a meeting with State Bank of India officals Sh. Haridas K.V., Deputy Managing Director (Retail Business) and Sh. Narayanan Sadanandan, Chief General Manager (SME & Supply Chain Finance). Director (P&M) presented the existing NSIC schemes available for MSMEs with main focus on Financing to MSMEs, RMA against BG, and Bank Tie up. Director (P&M) mainly discussed on the point that how SBI bank would like to have more tie up with NSIC for circular finance / inventory finance for MSMEs. Scope for New Vertical for Machine Selling was discussed with SBI officials. Discussion was also held for Micro Finance, as SBI is having the chain of agencies at district level.  SBI officers pleased to inform that the same chain can be utilized by NSIC for reaching to MSMEs under to provide assistance under our various schemes. SBI officers found very positive and hopeful to join to work together for MSMEs and assured full fledge cooperation to work together for the mutual benefits of organization. Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) also had a meeting with Shri Pankaj Gadgil, Head (Self Employed Segment), ICICI Bank and  Shri Jatin Govil, Product Head (Business & Loans), ICICI Bank. Main thrust during the discussion was on the subject that how ICICI bank would like to have more tie up with NSIC for circular finance / inventory finance for MSMEs. Mr. Gadgil explained about the bill discounting where NSIC can also extend the same facility for MSME.  Mr. Gadgil explained about their facilities available for MSMEs and also informed that Plat-form of ICICI is available even for export oriented unit where NSIC can join with ICICI. Mr. Gadgil expressed that More MSMEs can be introduced to ICICI bank from the registered units available under Data Bank and ICICI bank can extend the loan facility by confirming the credit worthiness based on their transactions carried out by MSME units with NSIC. Meeting was ended on a positive note with assurance of full fledge cooperation to work together for the mutual benefits of MSMEs.

Meeting held with Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association (NAWA) on 19th & 20th April 2019 in Kothagiri, Nilgiris District
Sh. P.Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) NSIC held a meeting with Shri M Alwas, Secretary - Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association and their office bearers in the premises of Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association – NAWA in Kothagiri, Nilgiris District along with Shri G.Kannan, Senior Branch Manager, Branch Office-Coimbatore. 
The Nilgiris Adivasi Welfare Association is rendering various services for the development of the society such as  Eco Tourism,  Hospital Care, Self Help Group Development, Herbal Cultivation and  TEA Cultivation etc.  
A meeting was held with NAWA members wherein the schemes of NSIC were discussed to enhance their business ventures. Undersigned individually interacted with all the 40 NAWA members who had attended the meeting on 20.04.2019 regarding their activities and provided suggestions to improve their line of activity.

National workshop on Entrepreneurship and Start-up on April 6, 2019 at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing) was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the workshop on “National workshop on Entrepreneurship and Start-up” on April 6, 2019 organised by UGC-Community College, Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.  

Shri P. Udayakumar delivered the keynote address and spoke about the future of Start-ups in India and how new entrepreneurs can be benefitted from the “Emerging Areas for Employment”” like E-Commerce , Artificial Intelligence (IA)- ITES- ITES, Information Technology Enabled Service , Internet of Things (IoT) , Robotics, Defence production, Food processing, Organic Farming, Web Designing, Branding etc 

DPM also gave an insight on the present Job scenario in India & options available for the livelihood. In this regard various schemes of Ministry of MSME and NSIC for the promotion of Entrepreneurship in India were explained to the audience. 

Workshop was attended by more than 60 faculty members and students of University.

Dr. Thomas Chandy, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, Visited NSIC on 12th April, 2019
Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC welcomed Dr. Thomas Chandy, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim at NSIC Technical Service Centre, New Delhi. Dr. Chandy was taken around NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre. Dr. Chandy found NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Program to be very appropriate for engaging Youth of Sikkim State in creating employment opportunities and skill up gradation through Advanced Training Centre. Sh. Satvinder Singh, Chief General Manager (Tech.), and Mr. O.P. Singh, Head, NTSC- Okhla were also present during the visit. 
Principal Secretary also visited Head office and had a detailed discussion with NSSH hub and KPMG team in presence of DPM. He was briefed about the various Capacity building programs/initiatives taken up by NSIC under NSSH to promote aspiring and existing SC ST Entrepreneurs to start or scale up their businesses. Dr. Thomas appreciated the efforts of NSIC and desired that Commerce & Industries department , Govt. of Sikkim and NSIC should collaborate for conducting the capacity building programs  for the aspiring and existing SC ST Entrepreneurs of Sikkim.

NSIC (Guwahati) Observes Public Sector Week
NSIC, (Guwahati) observed 10th Public sector Day (10th April to 16Th April, 2019) to project the contribution of the Public sector enterprise and their effort towards fulfilling New India Vision 2022 and organized a Seminar on “Empowering Youth of North-East through NSIC”. The participants were divided into 3 groups to share their innovative ideas and present to the panels and participants in the program. Each group were asked to create their group leader who will present their group thought and inputs. Group leaders presented their point base on their group discussion and sharing on the point “Empowering Youth of North-East through NSIC”. The program was very interactive, new ideas and input come up from the participants and was greatly appreciated by the participants in the seminar. 35 youths participated and appreciated the efforts of NSIC in the country to highlight the role of PSUs

NSIC employees participated in a painting competition on topics such as Contribution of Public Sector, Environment, Cleanliness ,Role of NSIC ,etc to create better awareness amongst employees about brand public sector & its significant contribution , achievements and their efforts  towards fulfilling New India Vision 2022.

Shri P. Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC was the Guest of Honour and delivered the keynote address at the Inauguration of “The Institute of Indian Foundrymen” Delhi’s new office premise on 12th April, 2019.  He highlighted the emerging opportunities in the sectors of Defence, Railways, Power, Agro and Infra sector for the Foundry industry where it is the mother Industry of all the Industries.

Shri P. Shri. D.P.S.Negi, Economic Advisor (Finance), Ministry of MSME & Government Nominee Director of NSIC, visited NTSC, Chennai on 10/4/2019.
Shri. D.P.S.Negi, Economic Advisor (Finance), Ministry of MSME & Government Nominee Director of NSIC, visited NTSC, Chennai on 10/4/2019. He was briefed about the various activities and achievements of the centre including the award received from State government of Tamilnadu as Best Training Provider in the state.. Shri. D.P.S.Negi, interact with the officers and was much impressed on the reach of NTSC Chennai’s Services. He appreciated the efforts of centre and was keen on the various new projects  submitted    for upgradation of the centre , in CFS & Training .
