Sh. Sudhir Garg, CMD, NSIC addressed at the inaugural function of Odisha International MEME Trade Fair-2019. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Sh. S.B. Behra, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Excise and Agriculture, Government of Odisha and had the presence of Sh. Prafful Samal, Hon’ble Minister of MSM, Govt. of Odisha and Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Numbaer of International participants were coordinated by NSIC for participation in the said exhibition. CMD, NSIC highlighted NSIC’s services for MSMEs especially in Odisha State and also emphasized on creating international partnerships for them.
NSIC, Branch Office Nagpur led by Sh. Ramdas M. Tekam, DGM conducted the awareness campaign in association with Indian Chamber of Commerce for Affirmative Action (ICCAA) at Hotel Pride, Nagpur. The event was attended by more than 100 SC/ST Entrepreneurs. The main theme of the event was to create awareness among the SC/ST entrepreneurs. On the occasion Shri P. Udaykumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC, enlightened the entrepreneurs on how to take the advantage of Govt. subsidy under various schemes namely-Single point registration scheme (SPRS), Business to Business (B2B), Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) being implemented by NSIC. He also spoke on other schemes like Tender Marketing, Raw material Assistance Scheme, Bank tie-up, etc. implemented by NSIC which are equally beneficial to MSEs. Amongst above SPRS registration (with meager token money of Rs.100+GST) and B2B registration are free of cost for SC/ST Entrepreneurs. Under SMAS SC/ST Entrepreneurs can participate in four domestic and two International Exhibitions with 100% subsidy. Sh. Udaykumar Director (Planning & Marketing) also clafified the queries raised by the entrepreneurs. Sunil Zode, President of ICCAA, Mumbai also addressed gathering and urged to participants to take benefits of NSIC schemes meant for SC/ST Entrepreneurs. Sanjay K. Bhondekar, Zonal General Manager, NSIC-Mumbai gave the introductory remark and also requested the entrepreneurs to take the benefits of NSIC Schemes.
On 22/01/2019 our (Director Planning & Marketing), Shri. P. Udayakumar attended the inaugural session at India Steel Exhibition 2019 held from 22nd to 24th of January 2019 at Mumbai Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai. The Session was inaugurated by Honourable Minister for Steel, Govt. of India, Shri Chaudhary Birendra Singh along with Abubakar Bawa Bwari, Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Mines & Steel Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Secretary Ministry of Steel, Govt. of Orissa, Secretary Ministry of Steel. Other Senior dignitaries viz. CMD of SAIL, RINL, JSPL, CEO ESSAR Steel, CMD Mecon Ltd. were also present. In one of technical session, Shri P. Udayakumar , Director Planning & Marketing was one of the panellists and he stressed upon the strengthening of Supply Chain by bringing more MSMEs’ into the system. He also briefed the role of NSIC in distribution of Iron and Steel to MSMEs’. The Session was applauded by the participants.
On the occasion of National Voters Day,Shri Sudhir Garg,CMD,NSIC alongwith Shri P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M) administered the Voters pledge at Corporate Office,New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion Shri Sudhir Garg,CMD,NSIC stated that we all must exercise our vote and encourage youth to take part in the political process for the growth of our nation.
Okhla Garment Technology Cluster (OGTC) members from Garment & Textile industry visited NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla on 23rd January 2019 with an objective to explore the possibilities of association with NSIC.Mr. O.P. Singh, Centre Head & team NTSC greeted following industry members of OGTC. During the visit, they were explained about the activities and facilities available in Advance Training Centre as well as in Incubator as per their interest. They watched NSIC film & NTSC film with keen interest. Later in a meeting over tea, a discussion was held with all the industry members, during which they expressed their continuous need for skilled manpower for the job roles of tailor, cutter, pattern maker, checker, merchandiser, pressman etc.NSIC may help industry by training candidates through various short term programmes in the relevant field who can be absorbed by these industries. OGTC industries will provide their inputs on curriculum designed by NTSC so as to improve employability of trainees.NTSC & OGTC member industries both sides agreed on the arrangement to provide internship for trainees of ongoing fashion designing course.
NSIC Technical Services Centre, Okhla, New Delhi organized a ‘Job Fair’ and celebrated ‘Appreciation Day’, on 22nd Jan 2019. The event was inaugurated by Sh. Sudhir Garg, Hon’ble CMD, NSIC by lighting the lamp along with Sh. A.K. Mittal, Director (Fin.) and other senior officials of NSIC. NTSC officials, trainees and recruiting companies participated in this function.The selected trainees were awarded for their excellent performance and CMD honoured them with trophies, certificates and prize money. Director (Fin.) & CMD, NSIC addressed the gathering with inspiring words. Appreciation day celebration was followed by tree plantation by CMD and other senior officers of Corporation. Simultaneously, recruitment drive was going on under Job Fair. Twenty number of companies had registered in advance for 210 vacancies. At the end of interview sessions, feedback from companies was taken in which they thanked NSIC for providing them the opportunity to participate in the event and agreed to have long term association with NSIC. So far, 80 trainees have been shortlisted by the companies and more results are awaited.
Sh. A.K. Mittal, Director (Finance), NSIC welcomed high level delegation led by Mr. Ibrokhim Aburakhmonov, Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and accompanied by Mr. S. Khoddjaev, Dy. Minister of Agriculture and Mr. A Mansurov, 1st Secretary, Embassy of Uzbekistan in India who visited NSIC to explore the possibilities of cooperation in MSME sector. The delegation was briefed by Sh. Mittal about various activities of NSIC for promotion and development of MSMEs in India and abroad. The delegation was also taken around NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre for self employment opportunities and Advanced Training Centre for skill upgradation. Hon’ble Minister of Innovation, Government of Uzbekistan appreciated NSIC’s facilities for MSMEs and discussed various options of cooperation through NSIC for development of such centres in Uzbekistan. Sh. Satvinder Singh, CGM (Tech.) and Sh. Sunil Tyagi, G.M. (Intl. Coop.), NSIC were also present.
During his visit to Ahemdabad, Shri. Sudhir Garg, CMD, NSIC interacted with Shri Sunil Shukla, Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute to explore areas of mutual cooperation for the growth of rural youth,entreprenurs, MSMEs in the country.Also present on this occasion was Shri.P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC.
MOU has been signed between NSIC Ltd. and XFactory.In (M/s.Kayoma Trading Pvt. Ltd.) online raw material supplier for supply of various raw materials like Steel (CR / HR / Angles / Plates), TMT Re-Bars, Plumbing, Doors & Windows, Fasteners, Electrical Fittings, Kitchen Supplies, Cement, etc. to the MSME units. The MOU was signed by Sh.K.Srinivas, Zonal Head, South II, NSIC Ltd., Hyderabad and Sh.Rajiv Madhavan, Managing Director & CEO, XFactory.In (M/s.Kayoma Trading Pvt. Ltd.) at their registered office at Madhapur, Hyderabad on 18/01/2019.
Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi graced the MSME Pavilion at Vibrant Gujarat wherein the constituents of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,Government of India exhibited live display of their innovative technologies and offerings for the Entrepreneurs, Youth, MSMEs. Shri Sudhir Garg, CMD, The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.-NSIC and Shri. P. Udayakumar, DPM, NSIC applaud the NSIC team for the efforts put in by them to set up the live Display of technologies.
NSIC has set up a pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019 with a display of 73 units( including initiatives of National SC ST Hub )and live display of innovative technologies which can be commercialized in the development of smart cities and create opportunities for youth. Training of design and development of CNC through simulation of different operations actual machines. Training will be provide through AR/VR and CNC simulations. The MSMEs in the NSIC pavilion are displaying variety of products such as: 1. Article made by bamboo, cane and grass 2. leather footwear such as shoes , sandals, chappals, leathercum-rubber/plastic cloth sandles and chappals. 3. Travel agency activities 4. Other semi- processed, processed or instant foods n.e.c. except farinaceous products and malted foods and manufacturing activities like manufacture of egg powder, sambar powder etc. 5. Installation of heating System (electric gas and oil furnaces cooling tower non electric solar energy collector etc. 6. Computer Programming activities 7. Soap and detergents, cleaning and polishing preparations, cosmetics, perfumes and toiletries etc. NSIC will also spread awareness about all schemes of Ministry of MSME/ NSIC to existing/ aspiring entrepreneurs. We will focus to provide increasing employment opportunity for the youth.
