NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Okhla, New Delhi has start training in field of Welder Course in association with NABARD and Skillsonics. The training programme would be conducted for period of two months on full time basis. 100 trainees would benefit from the programme. The training is aimed at skilling the youth from rural and backward areas to make them productive as per the industry requirement and open up various opportunities in self-employment as well. Internship would be provided to the deserving candidates culminating in full-time employment. The Program was inaugurated by Sh. O. P. Singh, General Manager, NTSC Okhla and Sh. Indermeet Singh, AGM, NABARD in presence of Sh. Saroj Kumar Apto, General Manager – Government Business, SkillSonics.
H.E. Madam ToureFatoumataBalde, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea in India called upon Shri Vijayendra, CMD, NSIC to discuss opportunities of cooperation in the field of MSME. Sh. Vijayendra briefed her on the activities of NSIC in the field of MSME development and highlighted the cooperation opportunities between Republic of Guinea and NSIC. She was also taken around Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced training Centre at NTSC, Okhla and was given demonstration of NSIC’s facilities for creation of self-employment opportunities for unemployed and skill development in various MSE related trades and advanced fields. She appreciated the model of NSIC Incubation centre and informed that the model could be very useful for the people of Republic of Guinea. She showed keen interest to cooperate with NSIC for promoting MSEs in her country. Sh. P Udayakumar (Dir. P&M), Sh. G.Dixit (Dir.Fin), Sh. S.Tyagi, GM-SG(IC), and Sh. O.P. Singh, GM NTSC, Sh. Rajesh Kumar (GM-Tech.) were also present.
NSIC recently conducted a one day training program on Awareness of Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) for its employees at NSIC (Okhla), New Delhi. The program was designed to sensitise the participants on the Introductory, historical background of the advent of POSH Act, 2013 and basic concepts, Prevention and Prohibition of Sexual Harassment, Redressal of Grievances and Monitoring Mechanism. 23 participants attended the programme. The session was taken by expert Prof. (Brig.) Ramesh Chandra and the programme was coordinated by Shri Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, GM(HR and L&D), NSIC.
A MoU has been signed between NSIC and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) on 17th March, 2021 for supporting and empowering Agri entrepreneurs. The MoU was signed by Sh. P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC and Dr. Sudhanshu, Secretary, APEDA. Also present on the occasion were Shri Vijay Prakash, GM (BD), NSIC & Shri Rajiv S. from APEDA.
NSIC Technical Services Centre (Rajkot) organized Job Fair after covid in the current year of 2020-21 in its campus on 15th March, 2021 to facilitate the trainees for their employment through campus placement. The Job Fair was inaugurated by Dr. Paresh Kotak, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Rajkot, as chief guest, Sh. Yogin Chhaniara, President, Machine Tools Manufacturing Association, as Guest of Honour, in the presence of Sh. U.Venkatachalapathi, GM & Centre Head, P.R.Chaganti, Chief Manager. On this occasion, Shri U. Venkatachalapathi, Centre Head, NTSC addressed the gathering and explained about the NSIC schemes and Skill Development initiatives of NSIC, various training being imparted in NTSC (Rajkot), Lively Hood Business Incubation Centre etc. More than 110 job aspirant participated and out of these 49 aspirants shortlisted by companies.
NSIC has signed MoU with National Scheduled Tribe Finance & Development Corporation (NSTFDC) & SAIL- Rourkela Steel Plant on 26th February, 2021 for setting up and establishment of Livelihood Business Incubation Centre (LBI) at Rourkela . The MoU was exchanged by Shri Vijayendra, IAS, CMD, NSIC and Shri Ashit Gopal (IFS), CMD, NSTFDC in the presence of Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC. Also present on the occasion were Shri Rajesh Kumar, GM (Technology) and Shri Binod Kumar, Chief Manager (NSIC).
Shri Gaurang Dixit, Director (Finance), NSIC inaugurated the International Womens Day celebration with NSIC women employees on 08th March, 2021 at NSIC (Okhla). The theme for this year is Choose To Challenge. An Expert from the industry was called and she had shared her inputs on Mental Health and Self-Management including survival strategies in real life, be it coping with this pandemic, managing work and family life or self. Also present on this occasion were Shri Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, GM (HR), NSIC and Shri O. P Singh, NTSC Head (Okhla). Total 43 nos. women employees participated in this programme.
Hon’ble Shri Arjun Munda, Minister of Tribal Affairs visited the TRIFED Corporate Office at NSIC Business Park on 09th March, 2021. He was also welcomed by Shri Bhupinder Arya, Chief Manager, NSIC, Buisness Park , Shri A.R Siddiqui, Chief Manager, NSIC and Shri P.K. Choudhary, Manager, NSIC.
Shri Ashit Gopal (IFS), CMD, NSTFDC during his visit to NSIC - Advance Training Centre and NSIC -Incubation Centre (Okhla) on 26th February, 2021 stated that “Incubation centre is very impressive and the enthusiasm of officers of NSIC is really commendable. There is a vast potential for collaboration of NSTFDC with NSIC for the benefits of ST community”. Shri O. P Singh, NTSC Head (Okhla) briefed him about the various offerings of the NTSC (Okhla). Also present on the occasion were Shri Sanjay Sharif, DGM(NSIC) and Shri Binod Kumar, Chief Manager (NSIC).

More than 300 job aspirant participated and out of these 120 aspirants shortlisted by companies.
NSIC (Kolkata) signs MoU with HPCL Regional Office (East) on 23rd February, 2021 for distribution of bitumen and allied products in the state of West Bengal under NSIC Raw Material Distribution Scheme. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Suresh Karmali, ZCGM (East-1&2), NSIC and Shri Subir Kr. Somadder, DGM, I & C Region, HPCL and Shri B. K Mitra, Branch Head, NSIC. The MoU will also enable NSIC to offer benefits of other NSIC scheme to MSMEs involved in road construction business.
