NSIC celebrated International Women’s Day on 08 March 2019.
NSIC celebrated International Women’s Day on 08 March 2019. Ms. Usha Suresh (CMD, NSIC), Mr. P. Udayakumar (DPM) and Mr. A. K. Mittal (DF) inaugurated the program. CMD interacted with the participants regarding women empowerment and briefed them about the history and importance of this day. She also planted a sapling on this day with women employees of the corporation. The program included Fun-Dance Aerobics session with Angelic Healing session, session on professional grooming and many surprises fun group activities. The program ended by Chaat and Snacks enjoyed by the participants.

NSSH-SC/ST Conclave conducted at Chintan Bhavan,Gangtok, Sikkim on 26.02.2019
NSIC, National SC-ST Hub Guwahati in association with Forum of SC and ST Legislatures and Parliamentarians conducted state SC/ST conclave on the 26.02.2019 at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok, Sikkim. Conclave was graced by Shri.Ganga Prasad, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim who was the chief guest of the event and Shri.Shakti Singh, Hon’ble Mayor, of Gangtok, Sikkim was the guest of Honour. Also on the dias were present Shri.Rakesh Sarwal, Add. Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, govt. of India; Dr.Thomas Chandy, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Sikkim; Shri.P.Udaya Kumar, Director (P&M), NSIC New Delhi and Dr. Avinash Choudhary, ZGM(NE), NSIC, Guwahati. During the inauguration session, Shri. P.Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC New Delhi gave the special address wherein he mentioned the inception of NSSH and its prime objective of the Hub. He mentioned that new intervention have been created for skill development in the form of reimbursement of their training fee, reimbursement of their credit support processing fee, reimbursement of BG commission charges, Reimbursement of membership under export council and also reimbursement of quality certification charges. He also informed that NSIC is open to new suggestion in order to create a better ecosystem for the SC and ST entrepreneurs and creating a better support system for them. He also look forward for a close coordination with state government in this initiative. During the inauguration session, there were also speech from Dr.Thomas Chandy, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Sikkim ; Shri.Rakesh Sarwal, Add. Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, govt. of India; Shri.Shakti Singh, Hon’ble Mayor, of Gangtok, Sikkim and followed by the presidential speech from Shri.Ganga Prasad, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim. In his presidential speech, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim mentioned that there is ample opportunity for entrepreneurs and startup as the state has lots to offer. He suggested that the units should have employability for generation of jobs for unemployed youth of the state. He mentioned that there should be proper coordination with state government for a better and constructive result. He expressed his appreciation for the event and said that this is a very good opportunity for entrepreneurs and aspirants which the government has offer and maximum benefits should be taken from this National SC-ST Hub scheme.  Conclave was attended by more than 400 participants.

NSIC Jaipur has signed an MOU with Rajasthan State Mines & Mineral Ltd. at  Jodhpur on 06th March 2019  for the supply of Chemical Grade Lime stone & other minerals .This will give an edge to NSIC to connect & serve more & more MSME units in this sector.

Hon'ble Governor, Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad as Chief Guest for National SC ST Hub State Conclave applauded the various initiatives of NSIC.
Hon'ble Governor, Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad who was present as Chief Guest for National SC ST Hub State Conclave(Gangtok) applauded the various initiatives of NSIC for the growth of MSME sector in the country. On this occasion on 27th Feb 2019, Shri P.Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC discussed with Hon'ble Governor on ways to support SC ST entrepreneurs of Sikkim , offering benefits of NSIC schemes to the youth of Sikkim and training programs for aspiring entrepreneurs through NSIC incubators. Also seen in the picture is Dr. Avinash Choudhary, Zonal Head (North east).

Smt. Usha Suresh,CMD,NSIC reviewed the performance of NSIC (Central Zone)
On her recent visit to Ahemdabad, Smt. Usha Suresh,CMD,NSIC reviewed the performance of NSIC (Central Zone) and urged all the employees to give in their best performance in the last month of financial year2018-19.Interacting with the employees she said that I  look forward for being a part of the NSIC family and accomplish as much as we can, through team effort , and be the pride of the MSME  sector.

NSIC organized a National SC ST Hub conclave at Itanagar, Arunachal State on 18.02.2019
NSSHO, Guwahati conducted Arunachal State SC-ST conclave at Itanagar on 18.02.2019 at Dorjee Khandu Auditorium, State Assembly, Arunachal Pradesh. The program was graced by the Hon’ble Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Shri.T.N.Thongdok in the presence of Shri.Bamang Felix, the Hon’ble minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Rural Work Department and IPR. Also present in the conclave were Shri. G.S.Meena, Commissioner of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh; Shri. Ashok Kumar, Joint Secretary, MinIstry of Food Processing, Govt. of India;  Shri.P.Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC New Delhi; Shri.Bilati Pertin, Commissioner of PWD and Finance,Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh; Shri.Habung Donyi, Director of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh; Shri. Dr.Avinash Choudhary, ZGM(NE) and Shri.Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal, National Working President of SC and ST Legislatures and Parliamentarians.
The welcome speech was made by Dr.Avinash Choudhary, ZGM(NE), NSIC where he welcome all the dignitaries and delegates who participated in the program. He also made a special mention of the schemes of NSIC and NSSHO during his inauguration speech.
The Guest of Honour Shri. P. Udayakumar, Director(P&M), NSIC made an address on the various initiative taken by the Ministry of MSME and NSIC for the development of SC-ST entrepreneurs and Aspiring entrepreneurs. He also made a special mention on the new intervention created under NSSH schemes and its benefits to the entrepreneurs belonging to SC-ST category. He also invited the state govt. to work in close association with NSIC in its initiative towards the development of the SC-ST entrepreneurs and aspirants. 
There were also address from the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, Commissioner of Industries, Commissioner of PWD and Finance, from the Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Rural Work Department and IPR who have appreciated the initiative from NSIC for the development of the SC-ST community. 
The presidential speech made by the Hon’ble speaker mentioned the potentials of Arunachal Pradesh people in agriculture sector, horticulture and industries. He said that his government is open to work with NSIC for the upliftment of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and look forward for the fruitful result through conclave. 
More than 210 SC/ST people participated in the programme.

NSIC Technical Service Centre ,Rajpura organized inaugural function for start of skill training on combine harvester operator with financial assistance from NABARD .

 NSIC Technical Services Centre ,Rajpura organized inaugural function for start of skill training on combine harvester operator with financial assistance from NABARD . Under the programme skill training shall be imparted to 30 nos of beneficiaries on combined harvester operation and maintenance.
Present on the occasion Shri J P S Bindra ,Chief General Manager ,NABARD shared the need for skill training to rural unemployed youth specially women for rural development.Shri Bindra also shared that many more such programme shall be conducted in association with NSIC Technical Services ,Centre,Rajpura in up comming financial year. 
Present on the occasion ,Shri Deepak Shrivastava ,President ,Micro small medium industries association,Rajpura shared the skill manpower requirement of MSME's of the region and shared that during the training course students of the Centre to be sent to various MSME's of Rajpura for imparting more practical training to make them more employable for which association will provide all required support to Centre.
Valediction function also organized for 75 nos of pass out trainees for various skill training courses under financial assistance from NABARD.

Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC was the Guest of Honour in the National VDP programme organised by SJVN (A Joint Venture of Govt. of India & Govt. of Himachal Pradesh) a Schedule Mini Ratna Power sector PSU in Chandigarh on 16th Feb, 2019.
Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC was the Guest of Honour in the National VDP programme organised by SJVN (A Joint Venture of Govt. of India & Govt. of Himachal Pradesh) a Schedule Mini Ratna Power sector PSU in Chandigarh on 16th Feb, 2019. DPM gave a presentation on the various schemes of Ministry of MSME and he lauded the efforts of SJVN who has achieved 59% and 15.31 % against 25% and 4% annual procurement targets from MSEs and SC/ST units respectively. 
DPM also discussed with Mr. V.K Bansal, Director (Power) SJVN about the synergies to develop business models with SJVN on procurement for their domestic requirements and JV requirements in Bhutan and Nepal which will increase the presence and business of NSIC.

NTSC, Chennai organised one day awareness program on Energy conservation and audit ,jointly with District Industries Centre, Madurai
NTSC, Chennai organised one day awareness program on Energy conservation and audit ,jointly with District Industries Centre, Madurai for the benefits of MSME in Kappalur Industrial Estate. Shri  Krishnakumar, Asst.Manager  conducted the program and also  demonstrated the audit on 13/1/2019. Many units has shown interest in conducting energy audit of their unit .

NTSC, Chennai organised one day awareness program on Energy conservation and audit ,jointly with District Industries Centre, Madurai for the benefits of MSME in Kappalur Industrial Estate. Shri Krishnakumar, Asst.Manager conducted the program and also demonstrated the audit on 13/1/2019. Many units has shown interest in conducting energy audit of their unit .

Mr. Harish Kumar Agarwal, President, Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturer’s Association (IEEMA) along with Mr. Siddharth Bhutoria, Vice Chairman, Eastern Region and other officials of IEEMA visited NTSC, Howrah on 14.02.2019.
Mr. Harish Kumar Agarwal, President, Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturer’s Association (IEEMA) along with Mr. Siddharth Bhutoria, Vice Chairman, Eastern Region and other officials of IEEMA visited NTSC, Howrah on 14.02.2019.  During the round of the Centre, they were explained about the core activities and facilities available in the Centre.  The team appreciated the efforts of NSIC in providing training support in the area of Skill development & Incubation.
During the meeting, representatives of IEEMA agreed for providing on job training for our final semester trainees of ITI.  They will also explore possibilities for association in different areas for which next meeting shall be conducted on 02.03.2019.  IEEMA also expressed strong need of Transformer Testing Lab in this area.
